People throughout their lives experience various kinds of emotional outbursts, and this can be expressed by facial expressions, body movements, behavior, conversation, etc. Often these kinds of emotions flow in pairs. If you watch the animals, we will see that they also show a variety of excitement by which you can understand what the animal wants, and how much it loves you. Many psychologists believe that in the emotional subconscious, animals communicate with each other. People in this regard are much easier since we are gifted with speech and excellent facial expressions.

Looking at a person, one can understand what emotional shocks he is experiencing at the moment. If it is still difficult for you to understand emotions, this indicates a lack of experience. But if you set a goal for yourself and start learning this seemingly difficult science, you will learn to understand people by facial expression, body movement, tone and voice intonation, etc.

Emotions can occur spontaneously, and unexpectedly for the person himself. If you find out some shocking or exciting news for you, then you will unwittingly fall under the wave of emotions. Just do not confuse emotions with mood or depression; these are different feelings.

Psychology has been studying people’s emotions for a very long time. The term “emotion” appeared around the 18-19 century, and since then people have become interested in the psychology of emotions. Emotion is considered to be a person’s reaction to events occurring with him. Emotions are negative and positive; it all depends on the information that caused the expression of emotions. If the information you received is unexpected or unpleasant, then the emotional outburst will also be harmful if everything is the opposite, then the feelings will be extremely positive.

Emotions can be divided into sthenic and asthenic. Stenotic feelings give rise to strength and forced to go to the goal. Usually, under the influence of sthenic emotions, we easily conquer many difficulties, even those that in an unemotional state seem inaccessible and invincible to us. Under the influence of sthenic emotions, people tend to perform specific actions.

Asthenic emotions, this is the exact opposite of the sthenic ones, we feel passivity in almost everything, we don’t want to do anything, we don’t aspire to any heights. But as a rule, not one of the types of these emotions does not predominate in a person permanently, sthenic and asthenic emotions throughout life often change each other’s arcs. Maybe this can be associated with overwork or life fatigue. Why there is a change of emotional feeling, the answer was not given by not yet, but it is known for sure that this is due to psychological factors.

To date, psychologists have identified seven basic emotional feelings: joy, anger (anger, rage), sadness, agitation (interest), disgust (disgust), fear (fear, horror, scare) and surprise. You can add another familiar emotional feeling, this humiliation (shame). Much depends on the character of the person; it is the attitude that determines which emotional feelings will most prevail. But as a rule, each person experienced every kind of emotional sense, but the time intervals of a particular emotion depend on the character of the person.

If a person experiences emotions that are caused by external factors, then it affects internally, the body can react to rapid heartbeat, the adrenaline that enters the blood during emotional stress, etc. Such factors contribute to stress, especially if emotional outbursts occur quite often.

The phenomenon of emotional infection can be attributed to the good side of the emotional state, you have a good mood, you smile, talk a lot, and so on, it is transmitted to your interlocutor, he seems to be infected with good mood from you, so you share a good mood with your interlocutor. In this way, you can elevate your mood, infect yourself with good emotional feelings, smile, even if you don’t feel like it at all, and your spirit will noticeably improve. Just keep in mind that the interlocutor can convey both positive emotions and negative ones. Remember, smiling, and you force yourself to think positively, which is transmitted to your interlocutor.

The most emotionally healthy on earth are children. They do not hold back their emotions: cry, laugh, scream … They express their feelings.

And adults also need to accept that they should not be insensitive. Emotions are essential for each person; they enrich our daily life and remind us that we are alive. How valuable can be the feelings of happiness, unreasonable joy that we experience when we watch a good comedy film, spend time with loved ones and loved ones.

If laughter, joy, happiness tells us about a healthy and proper life. That our emotions associated with the manifestation of anger, sadness, anxiety, as indicators, indicate problems inside or outside of us. They allow you to analyze the world around us. The discomfort that a person experiences when communicating with other people may indicate that he does not like someone, he does not have confidence, or that contact is merely uncomfortable.

Our ability to recognize our emotions and their ability to manage them is called emotional intelligence. Unfortunately, this is not taught in school. And most parents know no more about their children.

Of course, all emotions require manifestation in one way or another. At the same time, it is necessary to manage both negative and positive emotions. We have already noted that there are no wrong and good feelings. Suddenly overwhelmed joy can also interfere at a crucial moment and lead to stupid actions.

So that emotions do not control you, take control of them. Do not let them be spontaneous, uncontrollable. It is impossible to achieve your goals if you constantly stray from the road at the call of passions. Strong emotions, left uncontrolled, are like a drug, they enslave a person, paralyzing his will.

If feelings have overtaken you, then accept them, realize that at the moment you are under their influence. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures not to mess things up. One of my friends, a very emotional lady, by her creative profession, often came under the pressure of emotions that fell on her. She knew this peculiarity behind herself so that it would not affect her communication with other people, her work, she would “let off steam” as follows — beat empty cans. To some, it may seem silly, ridiculous, but it is better than staying in the grip of negative emotions. Yes, and the balance was acquired relatively quickly.

There is an opportunity, go to the gym, pound a punching bag. Not suitable? Just take a walk, listen to music, read, talk to a loved one, go to the pool or a concert. If it helps, cry, yell. The main thing is not to immerse yourself in your emotion, do not allow the brain to “cut sawdust,” continually returning to the same thoughts.

And do not forget to analyze what caused this or that emotion. Do you need these experiences; how much do they bother you? I do not think that it is always necessary for someone to prove something, to try by all means to be the best. Is it worth spending time and energy on laziness, envy, gloating or despondency?

The first stage is an understanding of the situation. This is the most crucial point. Here, consciously or not, we choose our attitude, which is transformed into an emotion. It is here that we can select the angle of view, under which we look at the situation. “It started to rain – it’s good, because …” or “It started to rain, it’s bad, because …”. Emotions appear different. This stage lasts only a few seconds, and sometimes less. This is its complexity. Every time ask yourself the question: “What is good in the situation I got into?” So, we train by constantly playing the game “This is good for me, because …” At the second stage, the emotion unwinds, and here we either give imagine the right to live it or begin to slow down actively. At the third stage, the emotion itself lives, and it is already difficult to do something with it. And at the last stage – the damping of emotions – all we can do is say to yourself: “Soon everything will be over.”

And really, it will end. So start from the beginning. And, of course, managing your emotions, regulating emotions does not mean controlling their external manifestation. It is by no means repression, repression or elimination. Managing emotions is like driving a car – it’s hard to learn, but what a thrill to drive! Feelings are always someone’s – yours, mine, his or hers. You are the source of your excitement because passion is a reflection of your attitude to the world.
